 TRANSITION TOWN SEVENOAKS

Transition means all of us working together and applying our creativity to deal with climate change and rising energy costs – treating them as an opportunity to shift to a better way of living, meeting our needs with less energy, carbon, and waste ; and more self sufficiency, local skills, and community. Sevenoaks district can do this, as part of the now international Transition Towns movement of over 300 cities, towns and villages. For more on what Transition is about, go to the Transition page.

Transition Town Sevenoaks is a non profit body, set up by a small group of volunteers (see About Us) to raise awareness of the climate and energy issues, and to promote community activity in response. Such as: producing more food locally, supporting local business, energy efficiency, reducing waste, improving transport, (re)learning and spreading skills.

Anyone who lives in Sevenoaks District is welcome to become a member. There is no membership fee or subscription. If you would like to be part of this movement,
